Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Gateway to Adventure
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our guide and transferred to your hotel.
In the afternoon, visit Karura Forest, a hidden gem in Nairobi, perfect for a nature walk before the adventure begins. Enjoy a welcome dinner and briefing about the journey ahead.
Day 2-3: Samburu National Reserve – Rare Wildlife and Nomadic Culture
Leave the city behind and head north to Samburu National Reserve, a stunning and remote park known for its unique wildlife, including the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Somali ostrich.
Enjoy a game drive through the rugged terrain, followed by a visit to a Samburu village, where you’ll learn about the traditional way of life of these semi-nomadic people. Spend the night in a wilderness camp, surrounded by nature.
Day 4: Lake Turkana – The Jade Sea
Journey further north to Lake Turkana, the world’s largest desert lake, also called the Jade Sea due to its mesmerizing blue-green waters. Visit a local El Molo village, one of Kenya’s smallest and most ancient tribes, who survive by fishing in the harsh desert environment.
Enjoy a sunset at the lake, a rare and breathtaking experience, before spending the night at a rustic lodge.
Day 5-6: Chalbi Desert – A True Off-Road Adventure
Experience the stunning and endless landscapes of the Chalbi Desert, Kenya’s only true desert. The drive across the desert is an adventure in itself, with opportunities to spot oases, salt pans, and unique wildlife.
Meet Gabbra nomadic tribes, known for their resilience in this harsh environment. In the evening, sit around a desert campfire and gaze at the unpolluted starry sky.
Day 7: Aberdare National Park – Misty Forests and Waterfalls
Travel to the lush and mysterious Aberdare National Park, a completely different landscape from the desert.
The dense forests, deep valleys, and cascading waterfalls make this a magical place to explore. Take a guided nature walk, looking for rare mountain species like the bongo antelope.
Stay overnight at a tree lodge, where you can watch wildlife, including elephants and leopards, from your balcony.
Day 8: Return to Nairobi and Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi for your flight home. You’ll have time for last-minute shopping at a local market before being dropped off at the airport.
